I am hoping that this workshop will still take place but I need a few more people booked on for it to run. My husband Ivor and I recently spent a week there to acclimatise ourselves to the venue and what it offers. It is an artist’s paradise; rather off the beaten track but so quiet the accommodation looks very good and is comfortable and very old worldly. The gardens are beautiful and there is plenty of wildlife and scenery to delight the eye at all times of the year and the Westcott team are really welcoming.
I was in heaven as there is a young hare living in the flower beds and I was able to photograph it and sketch it every day. It was born in the garden with 3 other leverets in May and used to people being around but still ‘wild’ and when it catches your scent it is off!
If this retreat has to be postponed this year I will carry it forward perhaps to next September but If all goes well on the Covid front over the winter I hope to run a retreat at the end of March and the subject will be the hare of course. A portrait.
